In just Two Minutes you can help stop the proposed closure of 450,000 acres in the Gunnison and White River National Forests in Colorado. Anti Access groups are proposing to designate the Hidden Gems Wilderness area. This is contrary to local Forest Plans and would eliminate traditional access to all mountain bikes, motorcycles, chainsaws, ATV's, snowmobiles, hunters and fishermen. It would lock out ranchers, farmers and landowners whose properties back up to proposed Wilderness.
The trails which would be closed lead to vistas, scenic byways, secluded lakes, creeks and primitive camping. The Anti Access advocates cannot provide any reasons why this area needs to be locked up in Wilderness Designation. None of these trails have been proven to affect water quality, habitats, or plants. However unless more people speak up to oppose this inappropriate Land Grab it is likely this area will be closed to the public.
Please ACT NOW this proposal is being Fast Tracked. Click below and create your letter to Congress to stop this inappropriate closure of public lands by using predrafted or your comments in just Two Minutes. http://www.savethetrails.us/Default.aspx?PetitionID=41

Definitely had an awesome time! Everyone that was out there was very respectful and just seemed like good people. I wanted to say thanks to everyone for keeping an eye out for little Dominick on his PW50. A few helped him out when he fell over or needed something and I noticed everyone was checking for him before they took off. Also everyone made Deena feel welcome even though it was only her second time riding a motorcycle. She was worried she would feel like an idiot but, again, everyone was awesome! So thank you for taking care of Ziggy's family... cause they're my family too.

Hello Every one,
Just waned to say hi and introduce myself. I live in the Tampa bay area and ride Croom a lot. Even though I might not live in the area I like to join other sites to see what is going on in other areas of Fl. Never know when I might be the area ridding.. Who knows I just might see some of you on the trails.

OK... So I went out to the Lease last Sunday and spent some time on a 2001 RM250. First off after riding the RM and then getting back on my XR600 I felt like I was driving a school bus through the woods. It's amazing the difference between a 280lb bike and a 220lb bike! I had a lot of fun on the 2 stroke (I had not been on one since my KDX80 when I was a kid) but it is a completely different animal. The first thing I noticed was NO engine braking. I knew this was going to be the case but I did not realize how much I rely on closing the throttle to slow me down. The difference in suspension and braking is mind blowing though. I guess 15 yars of technology goes a long way. It is definitely apparent I need (WANT) to find another ride in the near future. Question I have for the guys (and girls) who have spent time on both 2 and 4 strokes is.... Do the modern 4 strokes allow for engine braking or is this something I will need to re-train myself on?
I had a blast on the 2 stroke and even though I was significantly slower (stupid brain in the way) I had more fun. If the modern bikes all behave the same in slow tight turns then I am thinking about converting to the 2 stroke way of life.
